Peningkatan Minat dan Prestasi Belajar Matematika dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar matematika melalui model pembelajaran Mind MappingI. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A SMP Muhammadiyah Sumbang yang berjumlah 49 siswa. Kelas VII A dipilih menjadi subyek penelitian karena minat dan hasil belajar matematika di kelas tersebut masih rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan dengan alokasi waktu 2x40 menit. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Untuk memperoleh data minat dan prestasi belajar siswa, pada penelitian ini digunakan angket dan tes pada akhir siklus. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh skor rata-rata minat belajar pada siklus 1 sebesar 72,02 dengan kriteria minat belajar sangat tinggi, dan pada siklus 2 diperoleh skor rata-rata 79,87. Ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus 1 83,67% dan pada siklus 2 ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 89,79%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, minat dan prestasi belajar matematika di SMP Muhammadiyah Sumbang kelas VII A dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping.
